Controller for Retail & Wholesale Company - Remote

Overview

The Company is looking for an experienced Corporate Controller to lead bookkeeping, accounting and compliance, supporting high-priority strategic initiatives and investor communications.

In Short

• Full cycle accounting management including AP, AR, payroll, and inventory.
• Issue monthly/quarterly GAAP statements and variance analysis.
• Maintain perpetual inventory and manage COGS.
• Prepare borrowing-base and covenant management reports.
• Oversee multi-state tax registration and compliance.
• Administer accounting software including QuickBooks Online.
• Partner with executives on budgets and financial strategy.
• 8+ years of experience in product businesses.
• Strong command of U.S. sales/use and federal taxes.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and CPA preferred.

Requirements

• Technical depth with a hands-on attitude.
• Experience with chargebacks and vendor negotiations.
• Proven ABL reporting experience.
• Data agility with Excel/Sheets and SQL.
• Strong communication and judgment skills.
• Public accounting experience is a bonus.
