Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Security Engineer. You’ll be directly responsible for safeguarding Ometria’s digital assets by actively managing risks to maintain a secure and resilient environment. You will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure that security and privacy best practices are followed whilst finding solutions to meet our business goals.

In Short

• Work with security, legal, and people teams to pass annual ISO audits.
• Identify opportunities to upskill and educate on security and privacy best practices.
• Ensure privacy and security measures are integrated into all projects.
• Respond to alerts and security and privacy risk events.
• Build and maintain expertise in security and privacy.
• Advise on project risk reduction through security and privacy by design practices.
• Participate in ISO audits and work with penetration testers.
• Contribute to Engineering discussions and provide constructive feedback.
• Work independently on assigned tasks and projects.
• Utilize evidence and data to make informed decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in AWS cloud environment.
• Experience with Terraform is an advantage.
• Proactive in learning about security and privacy.
• Ability to identify risks and consider commercial impact.
• Confident communicator with various stakeholders.
