Real Estate Paralegal - Remote

Overview

The Real Estate Paralegal is responsible for assisting the Loan Closing Department with the handling of many real estate, loan closings, and lending related matters. 

In Short

• Prepares and revises real estate and lending documents.
• Advises the bank’s lending and closing departments.
• Coordinates with various departments for loan closings.
• Examines title commitments and resolves title problems.
• Follows through with recordings, filings, and disbursements.
• Serves as the liaison between the Closing Department and outside counsel.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience.
• Knowledge of banking laws and financial products is required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
• Must be a Notary Public or willing to obtain certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Five years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal.
• Ability to analyze and multi-task.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Computer knowledge on MS Software required.
• Prior experience with Title Searches required.
• Title Policy examination experience is a plus.
• Ability to learn additional software applications.
