Tech Lead (Node.js & React) - Remote

Overview

This is a remote position open to candidates across Europe. For those based in the Czech Republic, a hybrid work model is also available. OAK’S LAB is a technology partner that helps startups, scaleups, and enterprises build software solutions by deploying empowered product teams.

In Short

• Lead the engineering team in building scalable digital products.
• Manage the technical buildout of projects, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Design Leads.
• Oversee software architecture and infrastructure.
• Conduct regular code reviews and maintain code quality.
• Mentor and foster a high-performing engineering team culture.
• Be a hands-on contributor to project development.
• Proactively improve development processes and team efficiency.
• Participate in the Engineering Leads Council for technical decisions.
• Work with various technologies including Node.js and React.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a leadership role.
• 6+ years in engineering.
• 3+ years in building web applications using Node.js or React.
• Experience in architecting software.
• Strong business acumen, especially in early-stage startups.
• Ability to make product decisions based on user value.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficiency in English.
• Nice to have: Experience with Python.
