Junior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Junior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth daily accounting operations, and supporting overall financial reporting and efficiency.

In Short

• Support management of accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, customer payments, and outreach to address open invoices and balances.
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoicing questions and ensure smooth communication.
• Maintain the general ledger by preparing and posting journal entries and other transactions.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency in record keeping.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities as required.
• Participate in special projects, audits, and ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
• Provide additional team support and take on responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in business, finance, or accounting.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with basic accounting and financial practices.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems.
• Experience with NetSuite a plus.
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment.
