Software Engineer, Game Development - Remote

Overview

Niantic’s Engineering Team is seeking a Software Engineer to create high-performance mobile real-world MMO games at massive scale using Unity 3D on Android and iOS. You will work on a wide variety of technical challenges while creating engaging and fun real-world gameplay for a user-base in the billions.

In Short

• Build engaging gameplay features that are fun and easy to use.
• Create technical designs and develop code on game features.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, game designers, and user experience designers.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design reviews, and write unit tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders.
• Required in-office 3 days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of work experience in a multi-person game studio.
• 3D game engine experience.
• Proficiency in C# or C++.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams.
• Basic Japanese language skills.
