Overview

Nexus Studios is seeking a Senior Rust Developer to architect and build a high-performance real-time streaming platform for a new XR sports and entertainment engagement product.

In Short

• Location: Remote - able to work 9am - 6pm EST
• Type: Long-term contract
• Start Date: June 2025 to August 2025
• Develop core backend infrastructure for live fan-facing experiences
• Build scalable streaming services and data synchronization systems
• Work closely with a technical lead and technology director
• Focus on real-time performance requirements
• Support frontend XR applications built with Kotlin
• Deliver a robust backend that evolves from MVP through launch
• Integrate with external data APIs seamlessly

Requirements

• Experience in Rust development
• Strong understanding of real-time streaming technologies
• Proven experience in backend development
• Knowledge of data synchronization techniques
• Familiarity with API development
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience with Kotlin is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills
