Lead UI/UX/IX Designer - Remote

Overview

NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a Senior User Experience/Interface/Interaction (UI/UX/IX) Designer to design and implement interfaces and user experiences for complex, enterprise-level systems in support of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

In Short

• Lead the design of user experiences for enterprise-level systems.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps team members and stakeholders.
• Consult with non-designers to enhance understanding of design's role.
• Develop design standards and solutions addressing user problems.
• Ensure compliance with Section 508 design standards.
• Work closely with other Lead UX/IX Designers on technical direction.
• Utilize HTML and CSS for prototyping.
• Engage in effective collaboration and communication with clients.
• Possess a strong understanding of complex enterprise services.
• Have experience as a Section 508 DHS Trusted Tester.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of IT experience focusing on development projects.
• 3+ years of experience in UX/IX architecture and design.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Proficient in interaction design theories.
• Experience with prototyping tools like Figma.
• Section 508 DHS Trusted Tester qualifications.
