Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting key financial processes within the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, tax regulations, and corporate reporting.

In Short

• Managing and overseeing single-entry and double-entry bookkeeping
• Processing monthly and year-end closing activities
• Preparing financial statements, accounting reports, and statistical declarations
• Handling general ledger accounting, including bank statements, internal documents, and invoices
• Issuing and recording customer invoices
• Managing asset-related accounting transactions
• Processing intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Preparing documentation and supporting internal and external audits
• Assisting with corporate tax returns and local tax compliance
• Ensuring timely and accurate VAT return submissions
• Conducting monthly and quarterly local and corporate financial reporting

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of Czech accounting standards (CZ GAAP)
• Experience in corporate tax and VAT compliance
• Knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
