In Short

• Complete first pass of quality control between Character departments.
• Create body and facial calisthenics animations.
• Create poses and simple animation to test rigs.
• Help monitor character deformations adhering to the show’s visual language.
• Assist in building the characters’ Animation Interface.
• Verify consistency of tools and character rig features/controls.
• Evaluate upcoming sequences for character rig requirements.
• Test new software maps and/or features as needed.
• Work closely with Animation Supervisors and Character TDs.
• Attend relevant meetings and document new processes.

Requirements

• A solid understanding of the principles of animation.
• Proficient in 3D Character Animation and Character Rigging.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting in a technical environment.
• Experience with unix/linux.
• 2D graphics software knowledge, such as Gimp.
• Willingness to work overtime if necessary.
