Data Scientist - Remote

Overview

Join us as a Data Scientist. You’ll be identifying and working with large, complex data sets to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed.

In Short

• Help to detect and reduce fraud using machine learning, scientific rigor, and advanced statistical methods.
• Support and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of data engineers and analysts.
• Develop and deepen knowledge of data structures and model performance metrics.
• Communicate effectively across functions to make business recommendations.
• Conduct analysis including data gathering and requirements specification.
• Iteratively build and prototype data analysis pipelines.
• Identify new methods and opportunities to deliver business value.

Requirements

• Evidence of previous project implementation in data analysis.
• A degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
• Sound knowledge of Python, SQL, version control (git).
• Experience developing and deploying supervised machine learning models.
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud environments (AWS).
• Ability to articulate and translate business questions using statistical techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership and self-direction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive experience with statistical data analysis.
