Overview

The Senior Communications Strategist at the National Immigration Law Center (NILC) is responsible for developing and executing media and messaging strategies to support the organization’s mission of defending and advancing the rights of low-income immigrants.

  • Proofread and finalize various materials for publication.
  • Assess outcomes of communications efforts and report on impacts.
  • Coordinate with digital strategists for integrated content development.
  • Facilitate team meetings and assist in strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in communications or media relations.
  • Experience in coalition work and clear communication across diverse partners.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strategic alignment to organizational goals.
