Overview

The Registered Staff Nurse at Nantucket Cottage Hospital is responsible for delivering quality nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care throughout the patient life cycle.

In Short

• Full-time position with 36 hours per week and rotating shifts.
• Responsible for patient assessment and documentation.
• Formulates and communicates patient care plans.
• Administers medications and treatments according to established procedures.

• Must possess a current Massachusetts RN license and relevant certifications.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year of medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current Massachusetts RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification within one week of hire.
• ACLS & PALS certification required within orientation period.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Physical capability to perform nursing duties, including lifting and standing for long periods.
• Willingness to work various shifts and additional hours as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.
• Participation in unit meetings and professional growth activities.
