Field Engineer Apprentice - Remote

Overview

The Field Engineer Apprentice at GE HealthCare will observe and perform various equipment service processes to ensure customer satisfaction and proper functionality of diagnostic imaging equipment.

In Short

• Work within hospital radiology environments to troubleshoot imaging equipment issues.
• Complete preventative maintenance on designated equipment.
• Perform safety inspections ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain daily communications with customers for resolution and follow-up.
• Learn to ensure proper care of tools and test equipment.
• Enhance technical knowledge of current standards and procedures.
• Mentor with experienced technicians on repairs and service delivery.
• Complete all planned Quality and Compliance training.
• Report any customer quality or compliance concerns.
• Comply with GEHC’s quality management policies.

Requirements

• AS, BS, MS degree or equivalent experience in servicing electronic or mechanical equipment.
• Experience interpreting schematic diagrams and troubleshooting equipment.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is necessary.
• Analytical and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to develop good customer relations.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical and electronic equipment.
• Physical ability to lift and carry equipment as required.
