Payroll & Accounting Associate - Remote

Overview

The Payroll & Accounting Associate will ensure accurate and timely payroll and payables processing, supporting the Mozilla Foundation's mission by maintaining effective financial operations.

In Short

• Implement and maintain payroll processing systems.
• Process payroll transactions including salaries and benefits.
• Review and enter invoices into the bill processing system.
• Reconcile vendor accounts regularly.
• Facilitate audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Answer employee queries regarding payroll and reimbursements.
• Identify updates to payroll and bill payment software.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in payroll functions.
• Work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Engage in continuous professional development.

Requirements

• 4+ years of payroll and accounting experience.
• Experience with payroll processing in the US and Canada.
• Knowledge of payables processing, preferably with cloud-based platforms.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• FPC or CPP certification is preferred.
