UI/UX Designer - Remote

Overview

Mind Computing is seeking an exceptional UI/UX Designer to join a large project. As a part of our dynamic remote team, the selected candidate will apply Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles to develop and enhance user-centric applications that prioritize usability, accessibility, and high availability.

In Short

• Collaborate with product teams to define project requirements and objectives.
• Conduct usability testing to enhance user experience and improve accessibility.
• Design fully accessible and user-friendly applications, adhering to VA Digital Service guidelines and United States Web Design Systems (USWDS) standards.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to illustrate design concepts.
• Lead user research through interviews, surveys, and testing to understand user needs.
• Translate complex processes into intuitive, user-focused designs.
• Provide UX guidance and ensure designs align with HCD principles and accessibility standards.
• Document design activities, user research insights, and usability improvements.
• Additional tasks as needed to support project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or related field.
• Proven UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing design expertise.
• Experience with Human-Centered Design (HCD) and user research.
• Ability to synthesize research findings and implement design improvements.
• Strong documentation skills, capturing research questions, methodologies, and findings.
