Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you’ll design, install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or commensurate experience.
• Possess an active Secret U.S. Government security clearance.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with a strong background in various domains such as network security, application security, and cloud security.
• Proven experience implementing cybersecurity requirements within a U.S. Government environment, including managing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), NIST 800-53 requirements, and PO&AMs.
• Experience mitigating CVE vulnerabilities within required Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines.
• Hands-on experience leveraging security scanning tools in CI/CD pipelines such as ACAS, SonarQube, Fortify, Trivy, OWASP Zap, and Burpsuite.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing effective cybersecurity strategies in complex environments.
• Proficiency in security tools, techniques, and practices for threat detection and mitigation.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with application teams to develop and refine comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
