Full Charge Bookkeeper - Remote

Overview

Meridian Knowledge Solutions (MKS) is looking for a full charge bookkeeper to join the team and ensure the company delivers on financial and business commitments. The position is responsible for handling all aspects of accounting operations, including the preparation of monthly financial statements. The position will be fully remote.

In Short

• Handle all financial operations including general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Prepare and send client invoices and maintain client contract tracking schedules.
• Post daily cash receipts and handle client collection activities.
• Review and analyze monthly financials for trend variances.
• Prepare monthly income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
• Perform daily cash management duties and maintain monthly cash forecasts.
• Prepare annual schedules for tax accounting firm.
• Regularly interact with senior management to ensure business unit objectives are met.
• Handle annual financial audit.
• Work independently with minimal oversight.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience in full charge bookkeeping.
• Proficient in accrual basis of accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including vlookups, pivot tables).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus.
• Experience with Unanet project management application is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is desirable.
