ESI Pharmacist - Remote

Overview

The ESI Pharmacist position at MRIoA involves evaluating prior authorization appeals for drug appropriateness and providing excellent customer service to health plan clients.

In Short

• Evaluate prior authorization appeals for drug appropriateness.
• Provide customer service to health plan clients and members.
• Serve as an educational resource for drug and clinical information.
• Perform case reviews and present cases to the appeal decision committee.
• Maintain productivity and quality scores per company standards.
• Train across all queues and lines of business as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date records of case completion.
• Participate in company meetings and committees.
• Maintain appropriate state pharmacist license.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience as a pharmacy manager preferred.
• Experience with commercial and Medicare Part D appeals preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• High level of medication and disease state knowledge.
• Strong working knowledge of medical insurance terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as required.
• PharmD degree and current active pharmacist license required.
