Litigation Attorney - Remote

Overview

McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC is seeking a Litigation Attorney for our Alabama practice. The applicant must be licensed to practice law and in good standing and residing in Alabama with licensure in additional states preferred. The ideal applicant will be familiar with the rules of evidence and have experience in foreclosure law, bankruptcy, litigation, and a general understanding of all aspects of property law.

In Short

• Possess and maintain knowledge of state laws and civil procedure.
• Responsible for litigation caseload including probate, title curative, wrongful foreclosure, and eviction matters.
• Manage cases from referral through disposition, settlement, or verdict.
• Prepare and review legal documents for accuracy.
• Resolve title issues and complete necessary curative actions.
• Provide legal advice and research applicable statutes.
• Maintain an active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in law with a focus on finance and real estate.
• Exceptional communication skills required.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law.
• Experience in real estate, mortgage, and commercial litigation preferred.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, and applicable state and federal laws.
• Experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, or evictions a plus.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
• Commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality.
