In Short

• The Autonomy Support team is responsible for triaging and reporting on any changes or issues discovered in the AV’s software.
• The Autonomy Support Simulation Engineer will validate the safety and functionality of our autonomous vehicle systems through comprehensive simulation testing.
• They will create simulation scenarios to evaluate system functionality and improve simulation testing efficiency.
• Collaboration with development engineers is essential to implement simulation tests.
• They will build and maintain tools and infrastructure for simulation scenario creation and analysis.
• Debugging and fixing issues in existing test scenarios is part of the role.
• They will analyze simulation results to identify autonomy issues.
• Working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is crucial.
• They will partner with various teams to improve performance and address software needs.
• Continuous learning about the self-driving system is expected.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and best practices.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with automation tooling.
• Experience with Linux, Git, and CI pipelines.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira).
• Experience in robotics or automotive engineering is a plus.
