FP&A and Accounting Analyst - Remote

Overview

Maxar Space is seeking an Accounting and FP&A Analyst to work within our Financial Planning and Reporting Department, with the option to work remotely within the U.S. This role involves providing financial analysis and supporting accounting and financial planning processes.

In Short

• Provide financial analysis for Maxar Space.
• Support budgeting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis.
• Rebuild and improve existing Excel Workbooks.
• Prepare recurring journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support monthly/quarterly financial reporting cycles.
• Translate financial data into operational recommendations.
• Assess risks and opportunities of the forecasted plan.
• Support preparation of Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Growth Plan.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvements.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
• BS in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• 5 years of work experience in an Analyst role.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Preferred: MBA, Government Program finance experience.
• Strong analytical skills and business judgment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management.
• Organized and detail-oriented individual.
• Self-directed with a curious mindset.
• Integrity with confidential information.
