Overview

The Revenue Management Educator is responsible for developing and delivering educational materials to improve coding accuracy for healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement methodologies.

In Short

  • Develop and implement educational resources for coding accuracy.
  • Support providers in understanding Medicare Advantage and Medicaid reimbursement.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities related to coding.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS and DHS policies.
  • Utilize knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding.
  • Provide training in healthcare coding and documentation guidelines.
  • Assist in strategic action and quality improvement plans.
  • Maintain knowledge of healthcare regulations and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Work full-time, Monday to Friday, during day shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or medical field, or RN degree.
  • Completion of coding courses (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10).
  • Three years of experience in health insurance or related field.
  • Knowledge of anatomy/physiology and medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Certified Professional Coder certification required within one year.
  • State of Wisconsin RN license (if applicable).
  • Experience in adult education and curriculum development preferred.
