Senior Full-stack Engineer - Remote

Marker Learning is transforming the field of learning disability evaluations through clinician-led, tech‑enabled solutions. Led by school psychology experts, we partner with school districts and families to deliver high‑quality, gold‑standard assessments and AI-powered tooling for special education.

In Short

• Be the technical lead and go-to expert for AI-powered report generation tools.
• Design, build, and scale backend and frontend systems used by clinicians and internal teams.
• Drive architectural decisions, infrastructure setup, and code quality across the stack.
• Partner with AI/ML team to bring LLM-powered features from prototype to production.
• Guide and grow a team of 5 engineers with mentorship and code reviews.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in development speed and product delivery.
• Own uptime, performance, and security for core engineering systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, clinical, and AI teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Full-stack capable, ideally with deep backend and/or frontend experience.
• Proven track record leading small teams or acting as a staff/principal engineer.
• Strong grasp of modern software design, cloud infrastructure, and LLM APIs.
• Passionate about code quality, scalability, and developer experience.
• Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and leads by doing.
• Bonus: experience in healthtech, edtech, or clinical tools.
