Junior Accountant - Maternity Cover - Remote

Overview

Our client is looking for a (Junior) Accountant to join our team for a temporary position covering maternity leave until July 2026. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to kickstart their career in finance and accounting while gaining practical experience across various tasks.

In Short

• Booking incoming and outgoing bills, ensuring accurate revenue postings.
• Processing supplier payments and managing expense approvals for employees.
• Reconciling bank statements, credit card balances, and employee expense accounts.
• Supporting month-end closing tasks, including reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
• Assisting with the preparation of basic financial reports and templates under supervision.

Requirements

• Experience in an accounting or finance-related role (internships or part-time roles count!).
• Very good knowledge of Netsuite Oracle is a must.
• Very good Excel knowledge, such as data entry, using formulas, and formatting spreadsheets.
• HGB and IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• A team player who enjoys collaboration and is open to feedback.
• Organized with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Eager to develop skills, improve processes, and take on new responsibilities as you grow.
• Proficiency in English is required.
