Senior Credit Underwriter, Equipment Finance - Remote

Overview

Responsible for preliminary screening, advisement, underwriting, approving, and funding of larger and/or more complex loan and lease requests with greater risks/financial exposure to the organization.

In Short

• Facilitate credit needs of customers by underwriting new requests.
• Analyze larger and complex financial information for loan approvals.
• Complete financial statement spreads and prepare debt service overlays.
• Interact with customers to gather additional credit information.
• Prepare written credit presentations ensuring compliance.
• Authorize and track transaction commencement and funding.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced Underwriters.
• Maintain internal control standards and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and escalate risk-related issues to management.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 7 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial credit or financial analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in credit policies and research.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience influencing lending issues.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
• Ability and availability to travel as needed.
