Business Banking Senior Underwriter I - Remote

Overview

Evaluate commercial loan applications received from the Business Banking sales team. Adjudicate new and/or annual review credit requests with group credits up to $500,000 using individual lending authority.

• Evaluate commercial loan applications from Branch and Business Banking relationship managers.
• Credit facilities include secured and unsecured term loans, commercial mortgages, lines of credit, letters of credit, and corporate cards.
• Analyze loan applicant’s financial condition, cash flow, and credit history.
• Render lending decisions within individual lending authority of $500,000.
• Prepare cash flow analysis of businesses and personal guarantors.
• Address risk on existing customer relationships by restructuring credit when appropriate.
• Collaborate with sales team and participate in customer calls.
• Present loan requests to senior credit officers for decisions.
• Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls.
• Train new team members and sales teams on credit processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years previous commercial or business lending experience.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and credit reports.
• Formal bank credit training.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• MBA preferred.
