Overview

The Accounting Coordinator for Unclaimed Property is responsible for researching unclaimed financial property and maintaining accurate records, ensuring timely updates and communication with various stakeholders.

In Short

  • Research unclaimed financial property for providers, customers, and members.
  • Update unclaimed property spreadsheets monthly using Excel.
  • Resolve inquiries related to unclaimed property from employees and vendors.
  • Assist management with special projects as assigned.
  • Retrieve and document journal entries for unclaimed property accounts.
  • Compare cash analysis with journal entries from Finance.
  • Complete RITA tickets for data requests related to unclaimed property.
  • Assist the Tax Accountant II with due diligence letters.
  • Utilize strong communication skills with a customer service focus.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Requirements

  • GED or High School diploma required.
  • Experience in Accounting and Finance is required.
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor when dealing with vendors and internal customers.
