Agronomist - Remote

Overview

Lygos is seeking a dedicated Agronomist to support our sales team by serving as a subject matter expert in modern cropping systems and emerging products, particularly our biodegradable polymer, Soltellus.

In Short

• Develop field trial research projects for Soltellus in specialty crops.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the sales team on Soltellus applications.
• Assist in sourcing and testing small plot studies.
• Maintain records regarding fields, customers, and crops.
• Generate reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Conduct training on Soltellus usage for customers.
• Support sales team field days and meetings.
• Summarize existing and new research projects.
• Identify new market opportunities for product implementation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors.
• Proficiency with MS Office and scientific software.
• Strong communication, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of industry trends and developments.
• Sales and presentation skills are advantageous.
