Substation Designer - Remote

Overview

Leidos is seeking a Substation Designer to work remotely. In this role, you will use accepted practices and standards to create substation design drawing packages and required documents for electric power substations from 4kV to 500kV.

• Work remotely as a Substation Designer.
• Create substation design drawing packages for electric power substations.
• Complete drafting assignments on Protection & Control and Physical Electrical drawings.
• Support remote office overflow CAD workload.
• Utilize AutoCAD and/or MicroStation for drafting.
• Coordinate with other CAD leads in Leidos offices.
• Engage in technical and non-technical training opportunities.
• Participate in a mentorship program.
• Gain expertise in NESC and Electrical Power Calculations.
• Develop time management and organizational skills.

Requirements

• High School diploma with relevant experience (1+ years for Level 2, 2+ years for Level 3).
• Drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of drafting standards, techniques, and procedures.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment.
