Mid Level JDA Dispatcher - Remote

Overview

We seek a highly skilled JDA Dispatcher to optimize transportation schedules, ensure timely delivery of shipments, and maintain communication with drivers, suppliers, and clients.

In Short

• Schedule and dispatch drivers for deliveries using the JDA Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Monitor and adjust routes based on real-time traffic, weather conditions, and operational needs.
• Develop efficient loading plans to maximize vehicle capacity while ensuring safety and compliance.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate with warehousing to prepare shipments.
• Maintain clear communication with drivers regarding schedules, routes, and requirements.
• Liaise with customers to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues that arise.
• Utilize JDA software to input, track, and analyze transportation data and metrics.
• Generate reports on delivery performance, costs, and operational efficiency for management review.
• Address and resolve any transportation-related issues that arise during operations, including delays or emergencies.
• Identify areas for improvement in dispatch processes and suggest solutions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics or transportation dispatching, preferably using JDA software.
• Proficient in JDA TMS or similar logistics software; strong computer skills (MS Office Suite).
• Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant logistics or supply chain certifications (e.g., CLT, CTP) are a plus.
