Overview

LayerX Security is searching for a Sales Engineer for a remote position in the US East Coast or Midwest region. We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with a proven track record in cyber security to bolster our vibrant team. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by providing technical expertise and support to our sales team and customers. Your primary responsibility will be to understand the LayerX solution and effectively communicate its value proposition to potential clients.

In Short

  • Serve as the main technical focal point for the sales organization, providing expert guidance and support on LayerX’s solution.
  • Lead and manage proofs of concept (POCs) to demonstrate the effectiveness and value of the LayerX platform to prospective clients.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations of the LayerX solution to prospects.
  • Communicate effectively with product management to relay customer feedback, market trends, and feature requests, contributing to product roadmap discussions.
  • Gather and analyze prospect or customer requirements to customize solutions and address specific business needs.
  • Facilitate the smooth handover between pre-sales and post-sales teams, ensuring a seamless transition and alignment of customer expectations.
  • Travel to Customer meetings, conferences, and company meetings is expected.
  • Work with LayerX partners on their technical onboarding.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in sales engineering within the cyber security industry, preferably in startup or fast-paced environments.
  • Strong familiarity with various aspects of cyber security, including data leakage protection, secure browsing, browser isolation, and access control.
  • Proficiency in articulating technical concepts to technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
