Senior Native Android Developer - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a responsible and experienced Android Developer with strong skills in native Kotlin development to take full ownership of our existing Android app.

In Short

• Take full ownership of our Android app.
• Monitor app performance and ensure a smooth user experience.
• Identify and fix bugs, bottlenecks, and technical issues.
• Optimize the app for battery efficiency, memory usage, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with the broader team to plan and implement new features.
• Perform instrumentation testing.
• Lead efforts in addressing technical debt and improving codebase structure.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Android development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing Android apps using Kotlin and Java.
• Deep understanding of the Android SDK and app architecture principles.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage an entire codebase.
• Experience maintaining or improving production-level apps.
• Familiarity with optimizing for battery, memory, and performance.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Willingness to work on legacy code and improve it over time.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
