U.S. Patent Attorney - Remote

Overview

Kennedy Lenart Spraggins LLP is seeking a registered U.S. Patent Attorney with a background in electrical engineering and/or physics to join our growing intellectual property practice. This is a fully remote position with substantial opportunities for direct client engagement, collaboration with a highly experienced team, and work on cutting-edge technologies.

In Short

• Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications involving electrical engineering subject matter.
• Provide legal counsel regarding patent strategy, portfolio management, and intellectual property protection.
• Interpret and apply patent laws, rulings, and USPTO guidelines.
• Engage in client communication and case strategy development.
• Participate in quality control, docket management, and other operational functions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by firm partners.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in electrical engineering or physics.
• Registered to practice before the USPTO.
• At least 3 years of experience in private practice.
• Drafted and/or prosecuted a minimum of 50 patent applications related to electrical engineering.
• Preferred technical expertise includes:
• Analog circuitry
• Digital logic
• Processor architectures
