Overview

The Senior SIEM Operations Engineer will ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the IBM QRadar environment and its supporting infrastructure, playing a critical role in maintaining security visibility across the organization.

• Operate and maintain the IBM QRadar SIEM environment.
• Support and maintain auxiliary systems such as Git servers and rsyslog servers.
• Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 operational support.
• Manage approximately 23,000 log sources.
• Perform capacity planning and lifecycle management of SIEM components.
• Automate operations using Python, Bash, or Perl scripts.
• Maintain logging protocol standards.
• Coordinate daily operational activities within the SIEM team.
• Act as a mentor for junior and mid-level engineers.
• Ensure compliance with service expectations.

Requirements

• Experience with IBM QRadar administration.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration.
• Experience with Git and centralized logging systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• ITIL Certification or equivalent.
• IBM QRadar Certification - mandatory.
• Linux Professional Certification Level 2 - recommended.
• CCNA or equivalent networking certification - recommended.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
