Entry Level Engineer - Water Resources Engineering - Remote

At Jones Edmunds, we help communities thrive through innovative engineering and consulting solutions. We’re looking for an Entry-Level Engineer (Engineer Intern) with a passion for water resources to join our watershed and stormwater modeling team.

In Short

• Perform fundamental design and modeling tasks to support stormwater, watershed, and water quality projects.
• Assist with permit applications, CAD drafting, and GIS analysis to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Collect, compile, and analyze engineering and scientific data, identifying discrepancies and recommending solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, studies, and memoranda under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Engage in continuing professional development to expand your technical knowledge and skills.
• Support quality control efforts, ensuring that designs and deliverables meet company and industry standards.
• Communicate project progress and challenges to supervisors and meet deadlines for assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Education: BS in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Registration: Engineer Intern (EI)
• Experience: No prior experience required; 1-year student internship or a master’s degree preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Esri ArcGIS, stormwater modeling software, or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Other: Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
