Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of building systems while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role involves hands-on maintenance and repairs across various systems including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life safety, while providing exceptional customer service to building occupants.

In Short

  • Operate and maintain facility systems in compliance with regulations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on various systems.
  • Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Respond to customer service requests and emergencies.
  • Conduct safety inspections and enforce safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Assist with incident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to building occupants.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical or HVAC/refrigeration trade.
  • Universal Technician Certification for CFCs (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
  • Experience with computer-controlled building automation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work with personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Physical ability to perform various tasks including lifting and climbing.
  • Trade school education in HVAC, electrical, or related field preferred.
