Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and talented Senior Accountant to help us in running our day-to-day finance operations efficiently at JiffyShirts, a rapidly growing eCommerce company.

In Short

• Monitor and review AP aging reports to stay on top of company obligations.
• Record various employee expenses into Sage, updating expenses reports.
• Review and prepare supplier and vendor reconciliations.
• Generate supplier statements by analyzing sales data.
• Assist on month-end activities including reconciliations.
• Prepare lead sheets on a monthly basis.
• Assist with month-end financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and file Canadian Sales tax returns.
• Manage US sales tax returns with third party advisors.
• Monthly financial reporting by different business segments.

Requirements

• Experience in accounting and finance operations.
• Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Knowledge of tax regulations in Canada and the US.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
