Deputy CFO - Remote

Overview

The Deputy CFO will play a critical leadership role in the financial management of Jellyfish, focusing on financial control, operational finance, and compliance.

In Short

• Lead and enhance financial control processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting.
• Oversee the financial control, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Drive continuous improvement in billing processes.
• Ensure revenue is recognised in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Accountable for month-end and year-end close processes.
• Partner with operational teams to drive automation and control.
• Support the CFO in board reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and mentor finance team members.
• Collaborate with FP&A and commercial finance teams.
• Act as a Financial Business Partner to senior management.

Requirements

• Strong background in financial control and revenue recognition.
• 12+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Deep understanding of revenue accounting standards.
• Proven track record in managing AP/AR and billing processes.
• Experience in medium to large organizations or fast-scaling environments.
• Exceptional process improvement experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
