Math Curriculum Designer, Assessment Focus - Remote

Overview

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an experienced, passionate educator to join our team as a Math Curriculum Designer and help shape our growing suite of K–12 math assessments.

In Short

• Write and review clear, engaging assessment items for K–12 math.
• Review assessment items for clarity, quality, and accuracy.
• Write achievement level descriptors and other documentation.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to determine assessment scope.
• Coordinate with item writers, editors, and designers.
• Research content requirements including state standards.
• Assist with other math curriculum design projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Mathematics strongly preferred; Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.
• 2+ years' experience writing assessment items required.
• K–12 math teaching or tutoring experience.
• Excellent writing ability.
• Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Can-do attitude with openness to others' ideas.
• Highly self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Experience in curriculum development is a plus.
• Knowledge of programming and web technologies is a plus.
