IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking creative, motivated writers to join our content development team.

In Short

• Work closely with editors and curriculum designers.
• Create engaging language arts content for grades PK-5.
• Research topics of interest to a school-aged audience.
• Write sentences, paragraphs, and longer passages for online activities.
• Craft questions, answers, and explanations based on guidelines.
• Adhere to The Chicago Manual of Style and in-house style guide.
• Accept and implement feedback.
• This is a remote, 1099 consulting role for three months.
• Possibility of extension based on performance.
• Looking for writers with experience in educational content.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in English, creative writing, or related field.
• Exceptional writing skills and a strong sense of grammar.
• Strong critical-thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects.
• Previous professional writing experience, especially in educational content.
• Experience working in education is preferred.
