Overview

This role is for a Staff Back End Engineer to build a critical new payments platform for small and medium-sized businesses at iwoca, focusing on the entire lifecycle from architectural vision to code implementation.

Requirements

• Experience with payments systems handling over 10,000 transactions per day.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills, especially in Python.
• Experience with designing data models for payments systems.
• Ability to mentor engineers and set technical standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Technical knowledge of card network transaction flows is a plus.
• Experience with Django is advantageous.
• A degree in a technical field is preferred.
