In Short

• Seeking an experienced General Accountant with strong general accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
• Support a U.S.-based outsourced accounting firm.
• Work requires a solid grasp of the full accounting cycle.
• Involves preparing management-level reports.
• Majority of work centers on reconciliations, month-end close, and client interaction.
• Requires working EST hours Monday to Friday.
• Must work on both South African and US public holidays.
• Requires a fixed fibre line internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps.
• Power backup is mandatory.
• This is a fully remote working role.

Requirements

• Experience in General Accounting & Bookkeeping.
• Ability to maintain accurate financial records up to trial balance.
• Experience with month-end close processes.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience with client interaction.
• Ability to perform reconciliations of bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts.
• Experience with Accounts Payable & Receivable.
• Familiarity with preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Ability to support audit preparation.
• Must have a reliable power backup solution.
