Overview

The Finance Director (FD) is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions for both Issue One 501(c)(3) and Issue One Action 501(c)(4), maintaining an orderly system of controls over all transactions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

In Short

Full-Time position (40 hours per week, full benefits).
Reports to Co-Founder and COO.
Responsible for monthly financial reports and maintaining accounting records.
Must manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Requires strategic thinking for large projects and attention to detail for bookkeeping tasks.
Collaborates with external partners and internal teams.
Experience in nonprofit financial management is required.
Remote work with occasional travel to Washington, D.C. and Massachusetts.
Salary range is $110,000 - $130,000.
Ideal candidate has strong communication skills and experience with compliance.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in nonprofit financial management.
BS/BA in accounting or related field is desirable.
Experience with dual-entity nonprofit structures preferred.
High proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
