In Short

• Join the System Integration & Performance team to develop quantum computers.
• Prototype new technologies for high-performance quantum computing.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to optimize quantum technologies.
• Contribute to system design, modeling, and characterization.
• Measure and analyze performance data to improve systems.
• Work on hardware and systems with a hands-on approach.
• Utilize programming skills in JavaScript or Python.
• Engage in cross-functional team activities.
• Occasional travel required (1-4 times per year).

Requirements

• PhD in experimental quantum physics or related experience.
• 3+ years in quantum control or sensing, preferably with trapped ions.
• Experience with JavaScript or Python programming.
• Hands-on experience with hardware and systems.
• Experience in trapped ion quantum computing is a plus.
• Experience with optical systems and interferometers.
• 6+ years leading development of complex optical systems.
• Familiarity with optomechanical systems.
• Experience with ion traps and ultra-high vacuum systems.
