Accounting Associate - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Associate to join our team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting department with various daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks.

In Short

• Fixed Asset Accounting: Track, record, and reconcile fixed assets.
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post recurring and ad-hoc journal entries.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in monthly account reconciliations.
• Travel & Expense Tracking: Review and process employee travel and expense reports.
• Bookkeeping Duties: Maintain accurate financial records.
• Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative duties.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with audit preparation.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and general ledger functions.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Accounting Preferred) and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving.
