Accounting Associate - Remote

Overview

Cascadia Consulting Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support the routine functions of the accounting process, focusing on client invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

In Short

• Generate monthly client invoices with project managers.
• Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate recording.
• Apply daily cash receipts and reconcile payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and perform collections.
• Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing.
• Maintain accurate vendor information for 1099 reporting.
• Assist with month-end closing activities.
• Prepare and submit monthly B&O tax filings.
• Maintain project files in accordance with policy.
• Prepare ad hoc reports as requested by project managers.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Understanding of accounting principles.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
• Experience managing billing for 100+ contracts.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is a plus.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 programs.
