Are you passionate about crafting immersive player experiences through your animations by bringing compelling characters to life? Our award winning Animation team is looking for a Senior Gameplay Animator that will collaborate with our Designers and Gameplay Programmers to create fresh and innovative traversal, combat, hero, and boss gameplay experiences to that will captivate and thrill our players. At Insomniac Games, we're passionate about crafting exceptional animations for AAA games and delivering outstanding new player experiences while fostering well-being!

In Short

• Develop high-quality animations for gameplay characters and cinematics.
• Collaborate with Designers and Programmers to implement animations in engine.
• Troubleshoot and resolve animation issues independently.
• Create hero traversal, combat, and boss animations.
• Handle cinematic responsibilities including previz and mocap.
• Ensure cohesive execution of animation direction across the game.
• Communicate effectively with various teams to achieve project goals.
• Write and maintain JIRA tasks for animation projects.
• Mentor junior artists and provide technical support.
• Explore new techniques to improve animation quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Maya.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with MotionBuilder and Adobe Premiere is a plus.
• Knowledge of game engine state machine flow is a plus.
