Overview

The K–12 School Counselor at Wellspring Global Academy plays a pivotal role in supporting students’ academic planning, personal development, and college/career readiness in a virtual environment.

In Short

• Guide students and families in selecting appropriate courses aligned with academic goals.
• Create and manage individualized academic plans for students in grades K–12.
• Monitor student progress toward graduation and provide academic interventions.
• Provide short-term counseling for academic motivation and personal development.
• Support high school students with college planning and scholarship navigation.
• Collaborate with academic staff to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of counseling sessions and interventions.
• Assist students with applications for postsecondary programs and financial aid.
• Facilitate guidance lessons focused on self-management and emotional wellness.
• Utilize technology for virtual platforms and student management systems.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Valid state certification/licensure as a K–12 School Counselor.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a remote setting.
• Deep understanding of academic advising and course planning.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Tech-savvy; comfortable using virtual platforms.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
