Senior Product Owner - SaaS - Remote

Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Product Owner! This is a pragmatic, hands-on product role emphasising product delivery. You will lead detailed discovery and delivery of enhancements to our core platform, partnering closely with engineers and UX to turn validated customer insights into clear, technically informed, and cost-effective solutions.

In Short

• Become a recognised expert in Matomo’s capabilities and enterprise use cases.
• Own and prioritise the backlog for the main Matomo platform.
• Translate high-level ideas into detailed product specifications.
• Collaborate closely with developers for iterative delivery.
• Engage with the open-source community for feedback and feature requests.
• Participate in customer interviews to validate proposed solutions.
• Break complex product goals into clear, sprint-ready issues.
• Partner with UX engineers to refine designs.
• Support Marketing in release planning and product launches.
• Continuously improve product management practices.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience as a Product Owner in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Fluent in German and/or French, with excellent English communication skills.
• Strong technical background in web analytics and APIs.
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
• Experience creating UX wireframes/user flows.
• Solid experience with agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban).
• Located in or able to overlap with Central European Time (CET).
• Available for short periodic European business travel.
